Elder Yolanda Roberson
Kingdom Jewels Ministries Inc.
Elder Yolanda Roberson's life’s mission is to serve as a catalyst for spiritual, educational, and familial empowerment. For nearly 20 years, Yolanda has centered her work around equipping the next generation with the tools necessary to be the best version of themselves. Her work in education has afforded her the privilege of seeing the diverse talents and needs of the youth in the city of Milwaukee. Through this observation, she has been strategic in how she serves the youth from serving as a Support Specialist to being the founder of Kingdom Jewels.
Kingdom Jewels serve as an oasis that propels young ladies to begin their journey into adulthood from lessons of etiquette, and Godly living to college preparation. Elder Yolanda’s desire for Kingdom Jewels is to see young girls raised in the word of God to be strong and confident in whom God has purposed them to be. Through this effort, more than 150 young ladies have completed the program.
Elder Yolanda’s call to ministry was celebrated on August 12th, 2007, as she was consecrated as Elder. This milestone and affirmation have afforded her to serve in many capacities of ministry that impact the work of the church and ultimately enhance the lives of people.
Elder Yolanda attributes her monumental achievements to the help of God and the support of her loving family. She has been married to her husband Curtis for 30 years and has been graced with 2 children, along with 4 grandchildren. Yolanda lives by the motto “To God be the Glory for the great things he has done”.
Our Services
Kingdom Jewels is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing the lives of young ladies in our community. Founded on March 25th, 2004, the organization’s mission is to address the spiritual and social needs of young women between the ages of 11 and 19.
1. We focus on empowering and uplifting young women in our community.
2. We host an annual Debutante Ball in May, to celebrate the accomplishments and growth of our young ladies.
3. We hold monthly workshops, providing a supportive space for our young ladies to connect and grow mentally and spiritually.

Behind the mission of Kingdom Jewels Ministries, Inc. is a dedicated team of leaders, mentors, and volunteers who share a passion for empowering and inspiring young women. Together, we pour into the next generation through mentorship, leadership, sisterhood, service, and faith.
Each member of our team brings unique gifts, experiences, and a heart for service as we help every young lady discover her confidence, embrace her purpose, and recognize the jewel within.
President
Pastor Shantel Steward
Pastor Steward shares a special history with Kingdom Jewels Ministries and Founder Elder Yolanda Roberson that spans more than 25 years. Their relationship began at Sarah Scott Middle School, where a shared passion for sisterhood and empowering young women led to the creation of the Sarah Scott Sweethearts, a sisterhood program that operated for two years.
When Elder Roberson later received the vision for Kingdom Jewels Ministries, Pastor Steward became an integral part of bringing that vision to life. For more than 18 years, she has provided leadership, encouragement, wisdom, and steadfast support to both the Founder and the ministry.
Her longstanding commitment represents the foundation of sisterhood, faith, mentorship, and service that continues to guide Kingdom Jewels today.
Executive Director and Treasurer
D'shaunta Stewart
D'shaunta Stewart serves as Executive Director and Treasurer of Kingdom Jewels Ministries, providing leadership, organizational support, and financial oversight to help advance the ministry's mission. A longtime educator and performing arts leader, D'shaunta is passionate about creating meaningful opportunities for young people to develop confidence, leadership, and purpose.
Throughout her involvement with Kingdom Jewels, she has supported and sponsored several debutantes and remains committed to the continued growth of the organization. D'shaunta is also a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated.
Director
Valencia Sims
Valencia Sim has been a dedicated leader and supporter of Kingdom Jewels Ministries for many years. During her four years of service in executive leadership, Valencia provided valuable guidance, encouragement, and support to both the ministry and its Founder. Her commitment to the mission of Kingdom Jewels reflects a genuine passion for helping young women grow in confidence, character, leadership, and purpose.
Executive Secretary
Jessica Eichner
Jessica Eichner serves as Executive Secretary of Kingdom Jewels Ministries, bringing organization, leadership, and a heart for service to the ministry. She has also served as a mentor to Kingdom Jewels debutantes, encouraging young women as they develop confidence, character, and leadership skills. Jessica continues to be a valued supporter of the Founder and the overall mission of Kingdom Jewels.
Creative Director
Stephan M. Gordon
Stephan M. Gordon serves as Creative Director for Kingdom Jewels Ministries, helping shape the organization's creative vision and visual presentation. Through creativity, strategy, and attention to detail, Stephan supports the development of cohesive designs, themes, campaigns, and special-event experiences that reflect the mission and identity of Kingdom Jewels.
His creative leadership helps bring the Kingdom Jewels vision to life in ways that are engaging, meaningful, and memorable.
Community Service Director
Chante Caldwell
Chante Caldwell serves as Community Service Director for Kingdom Jewels Ministries and has been a committed supporter of the organization since its early years. She has generously contributed her time, energy, and talents to helping Kingdom Jewels serve young women and the greater community.
With a passion for helping others, Chante embodies the ministry's commitment to service, compassion, and community engagement.

Little Ladies in Waiting Coordinator
Pastor Semome Akiens
Semome Iiesha Akiens serves as the Little Ladies in Waiting Coordinator and Mentor for Kingdom Jewels Ministries. In this role, she oversees and guides our youngest participants, the Little Ladies who serve as flower girls during Kingdom Jewels programs and special events.
With a nurturing spirit and a heart for mentorship, Semome helps introduce our Little Ladies to the values of confidence, grace, sisterhood, respect, and service. She works closely with the girls to prepare them for their special roles while ensuring they feel supported, encouraged, and celebrated throughout their Kingdom Jewels experience.
As a mentor, Semome is committed to planting the seeds of leadership at an early age and helping each Little Lady understand that she is valued, capable, and uniquely created for a purpose.
Advisory Board
Robin Johnson
Robin Johnson serves on the Advisory Board and as a Lead Mentor for Kingdom Jewels Ministries. Her guidance extends beyond mentoring debutantes; she has also been a trusted source of encouragement and support to the Founder.
Robin has sponsored several Kingdom Jewels debutantes and continues to invest her time and resources in helping young women recognize their potential, strengthen their confidence, and pursue their goals.
Hospitality
Kin Lewin
Kim Lewin serves in Hospitality and as a Mentor for Kingdom Jewels Ministries. Through her warm spirit and commitment to service, Kim helps create a welcoming and supportive environment for our debutantes, families, volunteers, and guests.
In addition to mentoring young women, Kim has remained a faithful supporter of the Founder and the mission of Kingdom Jewels.
Mentor
Cheryl Bledsoe
Cheryl Bledsoe has been an important part of the Kingdom Jewels story from its earliest beginnings. A trusted friend, mentor, prayer partner, and supporter of Founder Elder Yolanda Roberson, Cheryl has devoted countless hours to encouraging both the Founder and the ministry.
Her support helped open the door for Kingdom Jewels to begin its work at Greater Holy Temple more than 18 years ago. Cheryl's faithfulness, friendship, and commitment to the vision continue to represent the spirit of sisterhood upon which Kingdom Jewels was built.
Mentor
Chasity Washington
Chasity Washington serves as a mentor and dedicated supporter of Kingdom Jewels Ministries. An educator, performing artist, and comedian, Chasity brings creativity, energy, encouragement, and joy to her work with young people.
She has been a strong supporter of both Kingdom Jewels debutantes and the ministry's Founder, using her gifts and experiences to encourage young women to embrace their individuality and pursue their purpose with confidence. Chasity is also a proud member of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Incorporated.
Mentor
Heather Smith
Heather Smith serves as a mentor with Kingdom Jewels Ministries and has made a meaningful impact through her encouragement, mentorship, and sponsorship of debutantes. With a professional background in counseling, Heather brings compassion, understanding, and a genuine commitment to supporting young women as they navigate their personal growth and development.
Her dedication to mentorship continues to strengthen the Kingdom Jewels experience for the young women we serve.

Every year Kingdom Jewels host a Debutante Ball for young ladies in grades 9-12.
